Minor Procedures - ONLY by referral from an Ontario physician
Specific consultation for minor dermatological procedures under local anesthesia including:
- Excision and/or biopsy of benign or suspicious lesions (moles, SK, skin tags, cysts, lipomas, skin or nail cancer, etc.)
- Cryotherapy or Liquid Nitrogen treatments
- Emergent laceration repairs and foreign body removals
- Intra-lesional and intra-articular corticosteroid injections (shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, ankle, toes). Not hips or spine.
- Soft tissue injections (trigger fingers, epicondylitis, plantar fasciitis, de Quervains tenosynovitis, ganglion, carpal tunnel, etc.)
- Excision of ganglion/synovial cysts from select joints
- Ingrown toe or finger nail surgical treatments (partial and total nail avulsions +/- nail matrix phenolization)
PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Nicola is a family physician with additional training in dermatology and minor procedures.
Neuromodulators (Botox) and Hyaluronic Acid Filler treatments
Specific consultation with our Nurse injector and Medical Director for cosmetic injectable, such as Botox and Dermal Fillers.
Microneedling treatments
Specific consultation with our Nurse injector and Medical Director for Microneedling, which uses fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin, triggering the body's natural healing response to produce new collagen and elastin, which smooths wrinkles, minimizes scars (like acne scars), reduces pores, and improves overall skin tone and texture.
